The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail (TPT) was launched by Janet Phillips in 2003 and incorporated as a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. It began as an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff and consisted of a President and Board of Directors. In June of 2023, the TPT began a transition to a staff-led organization which now consists of a full-time President & CEO, a full-time Programs Coordinator and a part-time Administrative Assistant. Regardless of the shift to paid staff, we continue to rely on a broad cast of volunteer support including; a Board of Directors, an Advisory Board, a large community of trail workers, trail stewards, event planners, as well as financial supporters and contributors.
