If you have been hiking or cycling near Floriston, you may be aware that the trail is closed one mile west of Floriston. Our contractor, Richard May, has been working on stabilizing the trail due to erosion. This will hopefully avoid any further issues especially after the winter melt. We will keep you posted on the work being done, which will continue through November. Check on our website or follow us on Facebook for updates.
For cyclists traveling east, there is a sign (above) so you can ride on the shoulder of I-80. We know it's not the best option, but we need to get this work done. Thank you again to Richard for all the work he has put into this project. It will be amazing when completed and a better trail because of it.

Ride The Rez Successful Annual Event

Fall is a beautiful time to be on the Paiute Reservation at Pyramid! They granted us permission to ride the trail along the Truckee to the Lake. Thanks to Procrastinating Pedalers, 17 people rode from Nixon to Wadsworth. Enjoy this view of their journey!

Now that the weather is cooler and you want to enjoy some beautiful fall colors, this is a perfect time to ride the 10-mile stretch of trail from Mustang to USA Parkway. This is mostly level dirt trail and some rocky areas, with an option for partial return on pavement. It's nice and flat and along the river, but watch out for those horses! The trail has been cleared from the downed trees, with a big thank you to Granite for clearing them out!
