The Governor’s Points of Light Awards are Nevada’s most prestigious volunteer recognition, celebrating Nevada’s brightest volunteers and volunteer organizations. It is the premier and sole statewide recognition event for volunteerism and service.
Two key members of the TPT Leadership Team were recognized by Governor Sisolak as outstanding volunteers by the annual “Points of Light” awards. Along with their official backgrounds, skills, and roles, Sam and Mike are both quick to volunteer for whatever needs doing! The TPT would not be the success it is without them!
Sam Limerick (left) joined the TPT team in 2003 while working as a petroleum geologist. He immediately started making all maps for TPT, and became a Board Member. When the need arose for a fundraising committee chair, Sam cheerfully stepped up!
Mike Traynor (right) joined the team in 2017 coming from the business world. He became a Board Member and chair of the Communications Committee, where he coordinates publications, events, signage, and social media!
As exemplified by these key members of the TPT Leadership Team (six Board Members and six Advisors) a few dedicated volunteers make this organization succeed. We would love to have some new participants with fresh ideas and diverse backgrounds! If you are interested, please come to a monthly meeting and see what we do, or call Janet for a chat (775-825-9868). A specific background area that we need at present is land, real estate, rights-of-way, title research, and public road access.
THANKS TO 2nd QUARTER CENTERY CIRCLE ($100+) DONORS!
WOW—these second quarter “Century Circle” donors put us beyond halfway to our goal of 300 donors of $100 or more for 2021! This annual funding source pays for operations, engineering, planning, and other important tasks. For those who haven’t given yet, we would love for you join, either with Paypal (link below), or by sending a check to: Tahoe-Pyramid Trail, 4790 Caughlin Parkway, #138, Reno, NV 89519.
