The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail 2019 Kickoff Event was a huge success with over 300 people in attendance at the Patagonia Outlet in downtown Reno. Attendees enjoyed adult beverages and snacks provided by Patagonia. The event celebrated the Tahoe-Pyramid Trail and all the hard work that has been done to create this multi-use trail that will connect Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake. Over 100 people contributed to raise $6,000 to support trail construction!
By the summer of 2019, the trail between Lake Tahoe and Reno/Sparks will be complete providing hikers and cyclists with sixty consecutive miles of adventure trail. Janet Phillips, President of the Tahoe-Pyramid Trail, hosted the evening. She conceived of the trail and has guided its creation for the past sixteen years. A very cool video presented by Wendy Damonte, health advocate , and adventurer, allowed the audience to experience some of the new trail sections. Wendy and Janet rode a new section of the Trail between Truckee and Reno with world-class cyclists this past summer.
